MEDICX PHARMACY COPPULL DEMONSTRATES INHALER TECHNIQUE ON WORLD ASTHMA DAY

Pharmacy Dispenser Zoe Hatch helped asthma patients understand the importance of correct inhaler technique as MedicX Pharmacy Coppull marked World Asthma Day.

Zoe and fellow team members based at the pharmacy practice at Acreswood Surgery used the awareness day to help patients understand exactly how to get maximum benefit from their medication.

Pharmacy Manager, Nada Baki said: "Items like inhalers come in all shapes and sizes depending on the manufacturers so it was great to use World Asthma Day last week to demonstrate exactly how to use them properly.

"It's not uncommon for patients to seek stronger medicines than actually required because of incorrect use of medicines and equipment such as inhalers.

"We also emphasised the importance of following medication instructions closely. These factors can really make a difference to the performance of medicines and ultimately the health and well being of the patients, especially for those with long-term conditions."

Open until 10pm every day including weekends and bank holidays, MedicX Pharmacy Coppull is based at the Acreswood Surgery in Coppull.

It provides traditional dispensing services and a free prescription delivery service alongside a range of advisory, testing and screening services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, smoking cessation services, lifestyle assessments as well as medicine use reviews, advice and support.
